Thank you to everyone who came to Oxford and participated in HNS Oxford 2016. We hope all your journeys home have been pleasant and safe.
We really enjoyed organising the conference, sourcing speakers, putting together panels and giving them subjects to challenge, entertain and inspire. We also enjoyed creating subsidiary events such as the trip to Blenheim, the literary tour of Oxford, and tea at the Old Parsonage. We would love your feedback on the conference and any trips you enjoyed with or without conference help. If you can give us any pointers for future conferences that would be much appreciated. Please use the contact page to give feedback.
The conference has already featured in the Times Literary Supplement, and if you didn’t realise that historical fiction was an oxymoron you will after reading that! We are very pleased to have got such rarefied coverage!
You made this conference such a stunning success. Without you and your support it would not have happened. We wish we could have spoken to more of you, but time flew by and it was very busy for us all, not least, of course, for you, our delegates. The buzz was amazing. Thank you too for supporting the bookshop, for being patient, and most of all for being you.
It is enough here to say a picture tells more than words. Let us leave you with a few pictures and these words:
All the world’s a stage
And all the men and
Women merely players
They have their exits and their entrances
And one man in his time
Plays many parts.
Thank you for playing your part in HNS Oxford 2016.
